To adjust the shift light.
Condition of the bike: off
-turn the key the On position while pushing and holding the button next to the light.
-The Guage cluster will go through its normal self check procedure.
-Tac Needle will jump to where the Shift Light is set.
-You may now release the button next to the shift light.
-Now you can push it to adjust it in 500rpm incriments.
-Once you have it where you want it, either push and hold the button again, or turn the key to off.

To turn Shift Light on.
Condition of the Bike: On
-Push and hold shift light button.
-Light will eluminate and Lighting bolt symbol will apear on dash
-let go of button

To turn shift light off
Condition of the Bike: Off
-Push and hold Shift Light button
-Light will flash then turn off and Lighting Bolt symbol will disapear from Dash.
OR
-Turn key Off.
